PAIGE DORSEY

 

Paige graduated with a BFA in Studio Art with a concentration in watercolor from SUNY Geneseo.  She went on to earn her Master's Degree in Art Education from Rochester Institute of Technology.  Paige is currently somewhat of a nomad, moving from place to place as her husband journeys through medical school.  While this gives her plenty of time to paint, it also creates a logistical nightmare.  She looks forward to a time when all of her supplies and paintings are located in one place.

 

Her earlier work is almost all watercolor with a tight and realistic style.  Paige's more recent work primarily consists of larger acrylic paintings in a bolder and more abstract style.  These paintings are still strongly inspired by nature, but explore a more primal and emotional response.
